What can you control?

“Some things are within our power, while others are not. Within our power are opinion, motivation, desire, aversion, and, in a word, whatever is of our own doing; not within our power are our body, our property, reputation, office, and, in a word, whatever is not of our own doing.”  -Epictetus

“I’ve concentrated upon the things I control and used that control to remove the restrictions and complications from my life.” -Harry Browne; How I Found Freedom In An Unfree World

In your journal today, assess your expectations regarding the work that you do.

Are you disappointed in the results? Are you excited about the results?

Better to revel in your efforts and let go of any attachment to the results.

Find victory only in the things for which you have direct control. Celebrate the victory of your practice.
